When hiring from MBC Closet Hire you automically agree to the following terms & conditions:

Cleaning

  • Please treat our garments with care and be mindful when using fake tan, perfume, makeup and around food/drinks.
  • We carefully hand wash all of our garments, dry cleaning is NOT included in the hire price. If the garment is returned with any form of staining that we are unable to remove, the customer is liable to pay the dry-cleaning fee. In cases where dry cleaning is also unsuccessful, the customer will also be required to pay the RRP of the piece.
  • Do not attempt to clean the garment yourself.
  • Do not make additions to or alter the piece in any way.
  • Immediately notify MBC Closet Hire of any damage made to the garment during the hiring period.

 Damage

  • If the garment is returned in poor condition MBC Closet Hire has the right to charge additional fees to fix the damages.
  • If the garment is damaged beyond repair MBC Closet Hire reserve the right to charge you the RRP.
  • If the customer is required to pay the RRP of the item, this payment is separate to the payment of the hire. For example, if the cost of the hire is $50, this price is NOT taken off the RRP payment. This is a separate fee.
  • If an item is damaged and this results in cancelling and refunding other bookings, the customer who damaged the item will be liable for these refund fees. 
  • Please note all our garments are hire pieces and have been worn, no refunds will be given for minor faults unless the garment is unwearable such as major staining, tears, zipper faults etc. 

 Postage

  • All hires requiring interstate postage must be placed by Wednesday morning at the absolute latest. 
  • All postal returns are to be posted express, if they are sent with regular post late fees will apply. 
  • MBC Closet Hire will not be liable for any delays through Australia Post. Our pieces are posted with Express Post services with plenty of time (3+ Days), so MBC Closet Hire cannot be held accountable for any late deliveries.
  • It is to MBC Closet Hire's discretion whether a late delivery will be refunded.

Postage Returns 

  •  If you have selected postage both ways when checking out your order will arrive in a reusable parcel with a return label. All the customer needs to do is reseal the parcel and stick the new return label on top.
  • All weekend postal returns must be lodged at a post office by Monday 3pm. If you have a weekday hire it must be lodged the next business day after your event or late fees will apply.
  • Once you have lodged your return please DM us a photo of the lodgement receipt. 
  •  If you have not selected a postage return at checkout the item must be dropped back as per our drop off conditions or fees will apply. 
  • If a return has been posted with normal post instead of express and this has impacted the next booking and the customer would like a refund. This when will be the responsibility of the customer who lodged an incorrect return to pay the fee of the refund. This also applies for late postal returns. 

 Refunds 

  • We DO NOT offer refunds . This includes change of mind or COVID restrictions postponing/canceling events. Store credits will be given with no expiry date to the value of the hire.
  • Issues with sizing DO NOT qualify for a refund. If you are unsure about sizing, please ask. We offer 30 minute try-on appointments at our in-home boutique. We can also give extensive sizing advice and supply you with more photos prior to your payment.
  • If the garment is still kept over the hire period and not worn a full store credit for the cost of the garment will not be given. It is to MBC Hire’s discretion whether a 50% store credit will be given. 

 Pick up/Drop offs

  • All weekend hires must be returned by 7pm the following Monday.
  • All weekday hires must be returned the next following day after the event. 
  • The garment must be returned on time, unless otherwise agreed. A late fee of $10 each day will be charged if the garment is not returned by the agreed date. If the garment is late and than cannot be hired to the following customer, the full hire price will be charged again. 

  • Pick ups are by appointment only, please do not show up unannounced. A pick up time must be organised prior to collection.
